I don't know why, but I thought I'd share with you a peek at the glamorous and colorful life I lead as a Halloween folk artist. Today was an exceptionally messy day (probably because I am so frantic to finish my work in time). Anyway, I spilled my mucky gray paint water all over myself and the floor and also kept dragging my fingers across my wet paint palette. I'm sure by the end of the day, I had it all over my face, but I jumped in the shower too quickly to look! While I was in the midst of making my daily mess, I looked down at my hands with a laugh to see them spotted and stained in various hues of Halloween. At least I can giggle about it! While admiring my custom-colored fingers and palms, I noticed that my paint palette, layered in uneven mounds of thick color, had its own contemporary charm! So, I decided to take some behind the scene photos!

AH an artist's hands! '-)

Don't you just love peeling the paint off a palette? It always looks so pretty, in a very odd way!
Hey Johnanna, I have a Masterson Sta-Wet-palette. Have you ever tried one? It saves you a lot of money, because you keep your paints wet and then you can come back the next day and continue to paint! Geez, I sound like a comercial! LOL I really like mine.:)

Thanks for the tip Leah!.... I think I spend so much time in my workroom dungeon that I don't know what I'm missing out on! :) I will have to look that one up and perhaps give it a try!

And yes Robert.... I do enjoy peeling the hardened paint off... I may have to give that up though with Leah's suggestion.... hmmmmmmm-- decisions...
I think I would hang that on my wall! Love those fiery colors!

Hey Girlfriend.
Love those hands, looks like you have a boo boo, is that a band-aid?
I actually have an old paint palette hanging in my studio, I was going to toss it but I liked the colors so I kept it! That's Connie's influence on me :~).

Great behind the scemes view of your work. And your paint palette looks a lot like my highly coveted cool-whip lid. :)
