A Burst of Color!...

Well, there is certainly an upside to all of the rain we have received here in Colorado this summer! My perennial garden has exploded in color, and I thought you may like to peek in for a burst of vibrant hues.... Not only that, but the ladybugs are out in droves, and what fun that always is! ENJOY!....

* A ladybug climbs up the thick stalk of Red Hot Poker plant...

* Peeking cross the garden path and plants, you can see a glimpse of our garden shed...

* A pink rose rises up beside a rusty old ornamental garden gate...

* The garden arbor is disappearing under soft white clematis and lots of other bloomers...

* A zoom on an Echinacea bloom ~ aka: Purple Coneflower...

* Our garden Green Man welcomes all who enter...

* The garden entrance, overtaken by so many plants... the path is difficult to find now...

* Red roses climb up a peely old trellis...

* One more view of the garden's front ~ you can CLICK on all the photos for a larger view...

* A ladybug and an ant share one single Spearmint leaf...

* Color!...

* I love these magenta Clematis blooms!...

Looks like your garden recovered quite well from the hail storm you had a while back. Mother Nature takes away but usually gives back too!

Thanks ALL... glad you like the garden pics....

And David... I gotta save up my $$ for a macro lens.. those are pricey so I've noticed, but I definitely want one... I just used the lens that came with my Nikon.... Someday I will upgrade :-)

Wow! The imagery is exquisite. The color is brilliant. How idyllic to be surrounded by such beauty. Did you shape and plant all. If so, you did a grat job. Plenty of material for your photography. Thanks for sharing. Diana

Gosh, Johanna!! The garden has certainly loved all the rain we have had!! And the ladybugs!! They are everywhere, aren't they!! I love seeing them visit!! I wondered about you guys during the storm last night. I've never heard hail hit so hard...and our hail was only pea size, but lots of it!! Hope all is well!! Hugs, Trudy down South of you!!

What a gorgeous yard! Thanks for sharing all those great photos. Makes me miss home, having my own house, my own yard & all that other homesick stuff.

I'm an Army wife with a husband who has another 7 years before he can retire. And 6 of those years are being spent overseas.

At the moment we're in Korea, but then it will be on to Germany.

Best wishes,
Jennifer
