I know that people love different and new! I think maybe a vintage looking frog would be adorable! Or in Halloween language we would call him a toad! A magical vintage toad.

i have such a weakness for those old pumpkin, witch and cat trick-or-treat baskets...the ones they used to make out of paper mache? wouldn't it be fun to make them with something more permanent than the paper mache, but with that same look, with the little handles and everything? you could either put a gauzy something behind the eyes, the nose and that toothy grin so that a subtle illumination from a candle inside it would glow rather eerily, or just leave holes for the brighter illumination to shine through. you could put your magical spin on the facial expressions rather than the decidedly vintage looks.

or what about an open or closed magic spell book from which something Halloweeny and cute seemed to rise?

thank you for the chance to win one of your amazing creations. angelheartcottage@comcast.net

Hi Johanna,

What lovely candle designs! My favorite from the current designs is the owl. :)

Anyway, I would love to see a friendly ghost -- always nice on Halloween!

Thanks for the chance to win one of your camdles (and thanks for giving a winning option beyond Facebook!). :) By the way, if it's a problem that I am from Germany, just disregard my comment -- but not my feedback in regard of the ghost! :)

Greetings from Munich,
Birgit

Any of your current designs would look great on notepads or post-its. Or could you make some sort of bowl out of the top of a cat's head that could hold candy corn or some other treat? Your candles are terrific, and I want to thank you for offering this contest.

I love your creative designs maybe small twinkling lamps with your design on the shade with maybe little cutouts on the shade. Twinkling and illuminating on the most spooky of nights...Halloween my favorite. Thank you for this opportunity to win throw my name in the tall black hat. Elizabeth-t@att.net........

I think a line of watches would be fun as long as they were not too expensive.

Hi, I would love to see some ravens, crows, especially with a full moon or spooky tree. Also buzzards/vultures are some that I love to see. I also enjoy gargoyles. I think you would do a wonderful job.

I love the candle tins! I would love to see you make die-cuts of your characters for walls and windows! :-)

Your jack-o-lanterns and ghosts are adorable, but I'd like to see a Frankenstein. :) You could also do a bride of Frankenstein as a duo.

I would love to see some vintage style paper party items like paper plates and cups and the crepe candy/nut cups and tablecloths. I think the paper party products out now lack the spirit of Halloween and your designs would be perfect Johanna Parker! :)

I think bats would be awesome or spooky spiders, I also would like to see more of the doggie that is in the 2012 collection.

I would love to see your rendition of a vintage Dracula. Not a scary vampire but a sweet vintagy looking character.

What a neat candle. I agree with a previous reader who mentioned lamp shades. Your whimsical designs would look spooky cute on lamp shades. I would also love to see more 'home decor' items like plates, cups, serving trays, baskets, candle holders.
As far as new characters....I'd like to see a scarecrow (not scary but sweet) or perhaps a line of vintage trick or treat characters. I'd also love to see a gray tabby cat decked out for Halloween too!
But most of all....I'd love to see you come out with a repro or similar design of your Halloween fireplace screen. I would LOVE to have one of my own.
Whatever you decide to create...please don't stop. Just keep 'em coming.

Hi, Johanna - i am a sucker for vintage linens; especially “barkcloth” from the Fifties.
My idea would be for you to create runners, tablecloths, placemats ,napkins.

Love, Jude. Victoria, B.C.
